Looking for a gift for a
If you’ve been reading for any amount of time, you probably know that Ryan has a real obsession with all things automotive.
While my husband is a mechanic, a profession that has only spurred on his love, Ryan came into the world looking for all things wheeled.
The problem is, as I’m sure any momma with a kid who loves trucks will tell you, the second it is made known that your kid loves cars and trucks, your house becomes a garage for toy cars.
Seriously, I can list on one hand the toys Ryan has that don’t have wheels or are car themed. While his main love, passion, and interest is very clearly trucks, I still ache to get him toys that aren’t just another truck.
While I was looking for a small present for Owen’s birthday, I got sucked into the rabbit hole that is Amazon and began searching for gifts for Ryan’s third birthday which isn’t too far behind. I found some great options for gift for truck loving kids that aren’t actually trucks and put together this gift guide. Here’s to variety in the toybox!

If you’re not playing trucks, might as well be building them!
I love that this is both a toy your kiddo can play with on the move as well as a little workbench to play with.
Inspire your kiddo to put his passion for truck to good use and imagine life as a mechanic with this cute little workbench.
These are so cute and a hit with all ages. I’m letting this car pass since it’s less ‘truck toy’ and more ‘ride-on’
Ryan has one of these and he’s obsessed with it. It folds up small so it’s perfect for small homes.
Okay, so technically it’s a truck, but I always think outside toys are a league of their own. This one has matching sand toys so I’m calling it a ‘not’ truck.
What kid doesn’t want a metal detector? Help them find all of those lost Matchbox cars with this little truck themed metal detector.
This make your own truck kit would be perfect for rainy days.
Play-Doh has a ton of vehicle themed kits, but I’m partial to this garbage truck one.
Ryan is just starting to get really good at memory games – I think a truck themed one would be the perfect way to hold his attention for a while!
These crayons are super cute – they’re in the shape of little trucks!
What better way to fight off the boogie monster than a fun flashlight? Fair warning – we have this one and it has one sound level and no on/off button!
Add some fun to your favorite truck-lover’s room with some simple wall stickers.
Ryan is obsessed with this, and I remember my brother having one as a kid. This one is HUGE and I totally wish we didn’t already have one for our house so I had an excuse to get it.
Not necessarily ‘truck’-y, but if your kiddo is also into building/mechanic work, this is a fun option.
I’m totally getting the boys one of these – it’s such a simple concept, but I know any kid would have a blast with it!
The idea for these take a part toys is genius – they use the ‘tools’ to take apart and reassemble a vehicle! Ryan is obsessed and likes to call himself a “Kenanic” when he plays with his.
If your little truck lover is looking for a safe place for his spending money, this little firetruck wallet is too stinkin cute.
Okay, so tell me – is your house overrun with trucks? Do you try to have a variety of toys in your house? Let me know in the comments!
