A few weeks ago I went to pick up Ryan at school. He was sitting at his favorite table reading a book about trucks.
Immediately, he asked if we could bring it home. I declined, explaining to his sweet teacher that we had 28 truck books at home.
Literally. I counted – we have 28 truck books for kids.

It’s no surprise to anyone who knows Ryan that we have a lot of truck books for kids. He’s genuinely obsessed. He also is the kind of kid I can not get to sit still for the life of me.

Ryan’s teacher loves the series and they read it often. I went out and grabbed this construction themed one because of course and it’s a staple around here.
Dig! by Andrea Zimmerman and David Clemesha
Honestly, this is one of my favorites mostly because it’s not one of those crazy popular ones. I grabbed it on a whim a year or two ago from Target when it was on sale and Ryan fell in love. We read it 2-3 times a day for months. Join Mr. Rally and his dog as they work through their day as they, “dig up dirt, dig up clay!” all day long!
Grandma Drove the Garbage Truck by Katie Clark
Grandma owns a garbage company and her 3 sons usually drive the trucks. Until they all get sick and Grandma needs to step in! Both of my boys think this truck book for kids is absolutely hilarious so we read it often!
Smash! Mash! Crash! There Goes the Trash! by Barbara Odanaka
Garbage day is a BIG DEAL at my house. Partially because the boys love trucks, but also because Daddy fixes garbage trucks. This book goes through the excitement of watching the garbage truck come each week and crush your trash!

I love buying books for the grandsons — they all love trucks. There are a few here that I don’t think they have — will have to get them for Christmas. I’ve also pinned in case any other moms or grandmothers need advice.
