Happy Monday, everyone! Also, happy February! How is it February already? Wasn’t it just Christmas? In 2 days I’ll be 2 months out from my due date which probably means that we’ll have a baby in less than 2 months which completely blows. my. mind.
Anyway, rather than babble on about time like the old lady I’m apparently becoming, let’s talk about the weekend, which I’ll be linking up with Katie, Erin, Jenna, and Carylee! Also, if you missed it check out the posts that went up over the weekend, The Only Rule You Need to Maintain a Tidy Home and the 31 Week Bumpdate! Let’s get to the weekend fun!
Okay, so I lied – our weekend was actually pretty low key and boring. The highlight of Friday was… tubby time? Ryan refused to get out until he was wrinkled and the water was super cold (no, really, he kicked and screamed as I forced him out) and then we hung out while he dried a little.
Saturday was more nothing – grocery store and cleaning were pretty much all that happened, but in a good way. Also, this is how I use the bathroom when Alex isn’t home. Sure, Ryan, you can play with the water. Just give me five seconds of peace.
Dinner was super delicious, though. Pasta, chicken, pesto, garlic bread. So good. We make our pesto with lots of garlic and mostly ricotta cheese and parm rather than tons of olive oil. It makes it super creamy and delicious.
My new favorite picture happened right before bed. I’ve shown you guys a few times how Ryan likes to cuddle with Cooper, and this is a perfect example of it. They really are the best of friends.
Sunday Ryan helped with the dishes.. or something like that.
The bulk of Saturday went undocumented. Driving, lunch, driving, visiting my MIL and running errands for her (she still hasn’t been cleared to drive, she goes this week so fingers crossed!) happened.
On the way home, Ryan took a nap in the car as planned, so I was a happy momma. Even happier when I suggested a ‘Bucks stop and Alex agreed. Score.
We went to the same one we went to on Christmas when I took this picture of my feet and the bump…
And this is the bump now, about a month later. No joke. Where did my knees go?
I got the tastiest drink I think I’ve ever had at Starbucks – decaf cappuccino with whole milk and vanilla syrup. Seriously, try it. So good.
At home, we played and I attempted some selfies. When you have a toddler, this is about what you can expect.
For dinner, we went to Panera. Did you know they brought back French onion? Yeeesss And that’s about it for my weekend! Pretty low-key, but definitely in a good way. Sometimes you just need a weekend where not much happens except the necessary stuff.
So how was your weekend? Do anything spectacular, or did you do a whole lotta nothing as well? Let me know in the comments!
