Hey everyone! Today I’m going to share another installment of In the Life of Boys, but first I want to wish a HUGE happy birthday to my Mom BFF Jenna! Enjoy your babies and hopefully your new CAR today, lady! Love you!!
Annnyway, like I said, today is another In the Life of Boys! In the Life of Boys is a monthly series on the blog where I post photos and stories about the boys โ adorable tidbits, fun firsts, silly things they say or do. Itโs a fun way to be able to look back at what they did when and to get an inside glance at the boys. Since I strive to show you all the bloopers and imperfections of motherhood on this space, I think this series gives me a chance to show you all the more random parts of living with 2 boys. You can see last monthโs ITLoB here!
First and foremost, this kid turned TWO in the past month. He also got his first haircut. I’m definitely missing those crazy baby curls, but I’m NOT missing the mullet that was growing quickly in the back.
This happened. I was nursing Owen before bed and Ryan kept going into the basket of clean unfolded laundry, grabbing a pair of my panties and putting them on Owen’s head. God help me.
We have a SMILERRR! Even though he definitely still lives up to the title of World’s Most Serious Baby but oh man, when he smiles it’s the best!
That being said, I spend hours a day in baby talk mode trying to coax one out. He is very stubborn like his dad and does things on his own time. This is basically what my phone looks like these days.
We headed over to my dad’s for Ryan’s birthday and it was HOT. Thankfully my dad (who has worked at a pool store since before I was born) was ready with Ryan’s water table, a pool, kid’s table and sprinkler all set up.
I’m sorry, but how cute is his little sad face? I’m a great mom. This was right before he realized the fan would in fact cool him off. TRUST YOUR MOTHER, KID.
I sure am raising a class act.
If you’re wondering how one with 2 (not quite anymore..) under 2 takes a shower after she works out: bring the bouncer in the bathroom and pray the toddler sleeps through it. Also – if you’ve ever doubted how small my house it, that is our one bathroom. And lastly, please enjoy my attractive child proofing of my bathroom cabinets.
Just helping momma cook. Normal.
Okay, so Owen looks SO WEIRD in this picture, but since I look pretty decent in it I dig it.
Best buddies forever and always.
And finally, I can’t tell you how happy this makes me. He kept bringing Owen (who was whining because sometimes tummy times bothers his reflux) blocks and then kept giving him kisses.
See you all next month! I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Your boys are seriously the sweetest! And YAY for smiles! I giggled at the fact that you had 20 odd serious ones before that smile because that is EXACTLY how the files from my baby shoots look like ๐ And of course the parents never smile at the same time the baby does so then I end up doing a frankenstein photoshop job and putting heads on bodies to get that perfect everybody is smiling shot ๐
