Unfortunately, I am in a family that is notoriously difficult to shop for. All of them men in my life are the kind that, if they want something, they just buy it – regardless how how close it is to a gift giving occasion. Even worse, all of the women in my life (me included, admittedly) go the, “oh, I don’t need anything, don’t worry about it!” route.

Que the holidays being a total pain some years. I love being known as the person in my family who always gifts really cool interesting gifts that are absolutely perfect for the recipient. Last year when looking for a small gift for my brother I ended up finding the site Uncommon Goods. (I ended up getting this – it’s called Game of Phones and it’s a card game you play with your friends with challenges like, “Find the most recent food photo you took as quickly as you can!” – he said it’s a ton of fun.)

You guys – this site is my NUMBER ONE spot for finding those gifts that take your gifts from “regifting” status and turn you into, “I can’t WAIT to see what she got everyone this year!” Keep reading to find some of my favorite finds for all of those ‘impossible to shop for’ people on you list!

Gifts for Those People Who Have Everything

For the unicorn lover, young or old. Or just anyone who loves cupcakes. So everyone.

Unicorn Cupcake Kit – Not only is this gift cupcakes (instant win) but it’s super cute with a unicorn theme. This cupcake kit comes with everything you need to make 12 cupcake from start to finish!

For your friend with the killer black thumb who loves plants.

Felt Succulents Kit – this super simple kit helps any plant lover make a lovely arrangement without having to worry about keeping things alive.

For the ‘cool’ cat lover. (I’m pretty sure they exist 😉 )

DJ Cat Scratching Pad – could there be a cooler gift for any cat or cat lover? Encourage your cat (or resident cat lady) make some sick beats with this cat scratcher.

For your Grandma who loves to go all, “Back in my day…”

A Grandparent’s Journal- Experiences and Advice – This might actually be a gift for you year down the road, but Grandparents love talking about their past experiences and doling out advice. This journal helps them do that without having to spend an hour nodding and saying, “oh, wow.”

For your lake loving hubs to make up for the fact that lakes totally creep you out.

Lake Topography Art– We live on a lake and I know Alex would adore this super cool 3-D topography art. There is a HUGE range of different lakes so you’ll definitely find a good fit! It might even make up for the fact that lakes skeeve me so I refuse to go in them 😉

For your kiddos, but also really for you.

Play and Go Storage Mat – Road Map– So we can pretend that this is for your kids – when unfolded it’s a super cute road map play area for trucks and cars. But right before bed, pile everything on top of the mat, cinch, and VOILA! Night time clean up is done.

For your brother who has left the East Coast and probably misses everything delicious.

Bagel & Cream Cheese Making Kit – My brother moved from NJ to Boston and is now headed to Washington. The poor kid is going to miss East Coast bagels for sure so this will be the perfect gift to rub in his face everything he’s missing. Like all good big sisters do, right?

For your nephew who clearly got his love of tacos from your side of the family.

Taco Truck Playhouse – Honestly, I’m really temped to buy this for Ryan because TACOS and TRUCKS but if you have a little in your life who loves both of those things, this little taco truck playhouse is perfect for imagination play.

For your quirky neighbor who wouldn’t be caught dead with a tacky lawn flamingo.

Flamingo-Away Sculpture – Your neighbor will immediate see the little gremlins removing the offending lawn flamingo and say, “Same.” These little lawn decorations are the perfect balance of cool and unique that everyone will love.

For your kids who might not have been the best this year.

Bag of Coal Soaps –  Nothing wrong with a little reminder that Santa knows! with these cute little coal shaped soaps. Wrap these in the BIGGEST box you can find, inside a smaller box, inside a smaller box – to really get the point across.

These would also make fun stocking stuffers – find more interesting stocking stuffers on Uncommon Goods here!

For your basketball fanatic nephew because the idea of marshmallows all over your sister’s kitchen makes you laugh.

The Mug with a Hoop – What kid doesn’t like to play with his food? This mug is perfect for hot cocoa and marshmallows, but don’t be surprised if the recipients parents give you the stink eye every time they see you after.

For your dad who loves a good game and a good beer.

Baseball Bat Bottle Openers – I didn’t grow up in a sports house but even I can grasp how cool this gift would be for a big baseball fan. These bottle openers are actually made using baseball bats actually swung by MLB players during a game.

Uncommon Goods has so many different sports themed gifts – from wallets made from NFL jerseys to blueprints of your favorite stadium – find them all here along with other awesome gift ideas for men!

To your favorite in your mom play group, because you really, really understand her.

Merlot Infused Coffee – Because some mornings your can use a glass of wine before 9 am but it’s just not socially acceptable. Grab this ‘best of both worlds’ coffee and pray she’ll invite you over for a play date so you can try a cup.

For your daughter who is mostly sprinkles and sunshine. (mostly.)

Sprinkle Heart Studs – Who doesn’t love sprinkles? These are so cute I’m seriously considering buying myself a pair, but any little girl with pierced ears would go nuts over these.

For your bestie who used to do spa days with you pre-kids.

DIY At Home Spa Treatments – No need for expensive trips to the salon – grab this DIY spa treatment kit, a bottle of wine, and some relaxing music and spend the day with your bestie gossiping and catching up!

Okay so tell me – who is difficult on your list? Would they like any of these? Let me know in the comments!

I Love the idea of the grandparent’s journal. My sister bought one for my grandfather which he filled out and gave back to her. He passed away about 5 years ago now but she has the journal to look back on in his handwriting. It’s so special!

Hi Morgan, thank you for this list, it’s very helpful. I actually like the Bagel & Cream Cheese Making Kit. I don’t think it’s all made for the big boys only though, the big sisters will definitely find it useful. My sister is a baker and love to make these kind of things so I think she will even like it more than my bro. Thanks and cheers!
