HAPPY FRIIIDAYYYYYY. How has your week been? I hope it’s been great. If you read Monday’s post, you know that the sleep over here has been cray. Thankfully, we did get ONE night of decent sleep, so I’ll take it as progress. Either way, I’m excited for the weekend to be here and for the hubs to be home all day as an extra set of hands/fellow peace keeper. But enough of that – let’s talk about the favorites from this week!
Terra Chips. My friends over at Hain Celestial sent me some chips to try out (I love and hate it – does anyone else have a chip obsession!?) and these TERRA CHIPS. Oh my goodness. They are so beyond amazing. I couldn’t stop eating them. They also sent me some organic nacho cheese and ranch tortilla chips from Garden of Eatin’ (how awesome is that name?) which we inhaled at an embarrassing rate. Now I just need to decide if I should grab some more next time I’m at the store or resist temptation…
Netflix, Mighty Machines. Mommas of truck-loving kiddos – you need to check out this show on Netflix. It’s kind of dated and odd, but Ryan is so in love. It explains how a bunch of different machines work, but with video of the actual trucks/machines in action rather than cartoons. It’s Canadian, so some words are regional and different, but Ryan mostly loves watching all of the machines work. It’s been a lifesaver with his weird sleeping habits the past week or two, since around 3 or 4 he gets beyond cranky and it’s a good way for me to ensure he takes some quiet time rather than running around like an angry, exhausted tornado.
Cookiegate 2017. SO. I made really great cookies on Tuesday with Ryan. They were banana bread cookies and amazing. I was planning on photographing them on Wednesday so I put them all into a container (after I ate a few probably 30?) and put them away. Wednesday, I was in the other room trying to get Owen to nap and I heard Cooper eating something. Now, when I hear Coop eating something I can almost always figure out what he’s eating, whether it’s something he should or shouldn’t have. I had no idea what it could be, so I went into the kitchen to see all but 3 cookies totally gone, and by the time I pulled him away from the container (I was nursing Owen, because this is what life looks like these days) there were none. I had no idea how he got that container open UNTIL I looked at Ryan whose eyes were so wide and had a cookie in each hand. I wanted to be SO mad, but it was so freaking funny. PSST these are obviously not the cookies I made – they’re the sugar free banana peanut butter chocolate chip cookies from last week!
Edible Arrangements. I’ve gotten one of these one time before – for our anniversary, Alex sent me one back when he was spending the work week out of state. Have you ever had one? Alex is the best and sent one for Valentine’s day – he knows me so well and knew I would 10000000% want food over flowers.
Birthday Countdown. UHM. I’M NOT FREAKING OUT OR ANYTHING BUT OWEN’S BIRTHDAY IS IN LESS THAN A MONTH. I can’t. Like at all. Yesterday he walked 7 steps in a row. SEVEN. This is too soon. He does the ‘mama’ ‘dada’ thing. He chases Ryan and can hold his own in a ‘wrestling’ match. NO. Didn’t I just get pregnant with him? Wasn’t he just sitting in a little incubator all yellow and angry? Ugh.
Alright, my friends – I’m off! I’m heading to bed early tonight to try and catch up on sleep since this weekend looks like good weather (50+!!) and maybe we’ll actually get out and stretch our legs!
So tell me – how was your week? Do you have any plans for the weekend? Let me know in the comments!
