Happy Friday! Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? My MIL had major surgery on Monday and was released yesterday, so we’re planning on spending some time with her at her house to see if we can help her out in anyway. I’m also hoping for some sleeeeeep this weekend, since this preggo hasn’t gotten more than 5 hours of sleep a night since last weekend and I’m shot. Hopefully the dude sleeps well also, since he got his 18 month shot today and probably could use it. The 5:30 am wake ups have been rough on us both. (are you all tired of reading about how I never sleep on this blog yet? I am, but mostly because I’m just tired, hahaha) But since it’s Friday, it’s time to talk about favorites! So let’s link with Katie, Heather, Angela and Clare, and get on with the fun!
Favorite Snack: Pizza Roasted Chickpeas. Put the word ‘pizza’ in the name and I’m bound to be in love. Put the word pizza attached to a protein packed, gluten free snack when my pregnant behind is craving the good stuff? My hero.
Favorite DIY: Little Tykes Toddler Batmobile. Uh, how cool is this?! I kind of really want to find an old used one now and do this for Ry!
Favorite Salad: Chicken Fajita Salad. I’m alllll about the salads lately. Which I guess is awesome since I can’t have my normal bread and pasta loves as the base for my dinners. This chicken fajita salad looks delicious and easy, the perfect combo for when a toddler is pulling on your pants because he needs to eat now.
Favorite Travel: 51 Magical Places You and Your Dog Need to Visit in 2016. This post reminds me of that weird Instagram series that went viral of the guy taking pictures of the girl dragging him (did that make sense?) but I totally dig it. Gorgeous places and adorable dogs <3
Favorite DIY Beauty: Sea Salt Olive Oil Scrub. Eczema (and winter weather) has left me with scaley dry patches that no lotion can penetrate. I’ve been told my whole life the value sea salt holds with eczema sufferers, so I’m thinking about whipping up a batch of this easy scrub to try to speed up my healing process.
Favorite Pup: DIY Doggie Breath Treats. Plain and simple, Cooper’s breath reeks. Now like rotten tooth stank, more like dog who eats everything stank. I’m always saying that I should make him some homemade dog treats, and these doggie breath treats may just be the ticket!
Favorite Replacement: Italian Sub Salad. You guys, if there is one thing I love in life it’s an Italian sub. I could eat one three times a day and be a happy lady. I don’t really want to think about how gluten free will affect this love, but Kristin may have found my answer without my even knowing it. This salad looks like my everything.
Favorite Quick Dinner: One Pan Barbeque Chicken Roast Sweet Potatoes. We’re trying to go back to eating at home more on the weekends (especially now that my morning sickness and weird aversions and mostly gone) and this looks like such an easy dinner that everyone would adore!
Favorite Laugh: What is the Worst Thing You Ever Heard Mommy Say? I may have spent an inordinant amount of time after finding this video watching these Jimmy Kimmel kids videos. I LOVE the Halloween candy ones each year as well as the lie detector ones, but never realized there were others!! This one is hilarious. (Also, clearly I’m obsessed with these because I shared one just yesterday :))
