One of the first real things I remember him saying as a baby was, “dinosaur,
As a kid, I loved dinosaurs as well so it’s been fun sharing that with him. I can proudly state that I know the scientific names for almost all of the dinosaurs.
I’m pretty sure I look absolutely crazy sitting with my kids, explaining the difference between a brontosaurus and a brachiosaurus. But hey – it makes him happy, so I’ll go with it.
Admittedly, I’ll never be the mom who teaches at home or homeschools. But, I do put a lot of value in reading.
I believe the key to getting kids interested was to force feed them lots of books on their favorite topic. Hence, these dinosaur books for kids.
Every night I let the boys pick a book out to read in Ryan’s bed, cuddled together. Ryan grabs one of his many truck books and Owen grabs a fun dinosaur book for preschoolers.
