Hi friends! How was your weekend? We had a perfectly low key one, which was just what we needed! But let’s get to it! As always, Iām linking up with Katie and Erin!
This kid has been more and more cuddly and I.Love.It. so much. Friday night he was so cuddly that I let him stay up a little late to hand out Ooops. #noregrets.
After I got him to bed I played around and made this beast that I think will need to be shared sooner than later!
I also tried my first one of these! The idea has always weirded me out, plus they’re $$ so I was hoping to not like them. Too bad I’m a fan…
I looked at my phone tonight to work on this post and realized that I took a total of 2 posts Saturday, ha! One was this one where Ryan climbed onto my chair ad started eating all of my watermelon. Definitely my kid.
The second was this where Ryan climbed between my arm and head while I laid on the couch forcing me to use his booty as a pillow. This child.
This is what it looks like around there parts when this party boy is up on and off all night and up for the day at 5:45.
Father’s Day included a trip to BBQ for lunch and then a Target run (because always.) These two melt my heart.
I went to go wake up Ryan from his nap ad saw he’d dragged his stuffed bunny across himself.
There was a Chipotle stop for dinner with a side of truck because someone threw a tiiinny fit and I was too hungry to fight it. #momlife
After dinner, we headed home and hung out in the yard. We’re trying to get Ryan more comfortable with his Stryder bike, and he is finally starting to show signs of enjoying it/being willing to learn. Once again we let him stay up later than normal, but sometimes family time is more important than bedtimes.
So tell me – what did you do this weekend? Did you celebrate Father’s Day? Let me know in the comments!
In case you missed it, 2 posts went live this weekend!

What a perfect weekend! Sounds like a nice combination of relaxing a fun stuff. I want to try kombacha too. My local organic cafe has a sign for it… and I’ve been thinking about ordering it!
Morgan says
Go for it! I was definitely surprised, it’s not what I expected! And I bet fresh kombucha is even tastier!
Gretchen says
I love KeVita as well! Luckily it’s not as expensive as other kombucha’s , and I can usually find it on sale. If you have ibotta they usually have a rebate on there as well, so it ends up not being AS expensive!
Morgan says
Ha, the only reason I got that brand was because it was on sale š Some of them were $5+!!
Heather @ Polyglot Jot says
Yeah, i buy myself Kombucha every once in a while–i wish i didnt like it either. haha! I’m loving Ryan in those little polos its so cute!!
Morgan says
Bhaha so funny story about toddler polos – Alex has told me officially he only wants Ryan to wear “classy” clothes, and to look like he’s going to be sailing and summering. <-- this is what I married.
Heather @ Polyglot Jot says
hahahahah a i just laughed out loud…that is AWESOME! Well you can count his outfits as a success then–totally get the sailing and summering vibe! <3
Ellen @ My Uncommon Everyday says
I, too, wish I hated kombucha… but nope. It’s fizzy and tangy and I love it. And those bars look freaking fantastic!
Morgan says
Well, you’re my Diet Coke soulmate, so I should have known you’d like it as well!
Susie @ SuzLyfe says
I love Kevita, but I like their non-straight out kombucha. I’m not sure if I should have kombucha with all of the things that I am on, so I am wary of it. But what a fantastic weekend for you!
Morgan says
Oh that’s such a good point! I would have never thought of that. I’ve been on medication for asthma my whole life but I’m pretty thankful it’s one of things that mixes well with everything for the most part.
Sarah @ Sweet Miles says
Whhhhhy do babies wake up so early on the weekends? And sleep so much worst than during the week?! At least that’s the case over here! And my husband LOVES kombucha. I like to refer to it as his “hippie days from college” drink.
Morgan says
I have no idea, but if you figure it out, PLEASE let me know! I swear, the one day a week that my husband is home early and then off the next day (aka, I could probably get a normal night of sleep) the boys are up multiple times a night and wake up at the buttcrack of dawn!!
Edye says
Looks like a lovely weekend! Watermelon is one of the best things about summer. I could eat a whole one by myself, haha š
Blessings,

Morgan says
Hhaha i have been known to do the same!

A laid back weekend sounds good to me and it looks like yours was lovely!
This past weekend we did a whole lot of nothing! We’ve been so busy lately that we really just needed some time to do nothing – and it was rainy too so it was a good excuse to stay inside!
Morgan says
I have such a love hate relationships with rainy weekends. On one hand it forces you to chill out, but on the other I get so antsy!
Darcy says
I have held off on Kombucha because of how pricey it is and I’m worried I’ll love it haha!

That was my fear! Sadly, it seems to be the case.. eek! Now to make my own š
Amy @ Elephant Eats says
Sounds like a perfect weekend! So jealous that you have a cuddly toddler….Hoping B gets there soon. He DID just start to say “i love you” though which is so adorable (of course I have to say it first and it’s also unintelligible to anyone but my family, haha). Ryan looks so freaking cute in that last pic of him on his bike…and although I’ve never met you our your husband in person, i think he looks a lot like Alex in that pic š
Morgan says
Dude, it took 2 years. And even now it’s not super often. But it’s becoming more common! It’ll happen š Ryan is SUPER lovey though, he wants to kiss one everrryyonee. And I will so tell Alex that – he’ll be very pleased since he always says RYan looks like a mini me, ha!
