Please tell me there was another soul who was completely caught off guard by yesterday’s time change? What the heck! I’ve never had that happen – I usually know a decent amount ahead of time and can mentally prepare myself for it. Nope. Not this time. I actually woke up what I thought was early, and then told Alex we should go get breakfast since it was so early. We literally got totally ready, everyone in the car and halfway there before we realized that the clock in the car was an hour ahead of what time we thought it was. Since we just used the clock on the oven, I had no idea what time it was. That’s one way to totally throw off your day..
Anyway, you may have noticed I was MIA on Friday and if you want the real answer – I had my monthly visitor and not much to say so I figured I’d take the day off and just chill. But I’m back today with the best of the week! Though, I will say, I was surprised to see the lack of pictures I took this week. I guess it’s just been an all around off time. Either way, let’s get to it!
This is how a dog hides from a toddler. He noses between the couch and a pillow and uses it as a barrier.. Poor pup. PS we saw the CUTEST yellow lab mix at the adoption center in the mall yesterday and I’m FIGHTING not to go pick him up. I told Alex, if our house was a tiny bit bigger, I’d go for it.
Breakfast – carbs, chocolate chips, and caffeine is the only way to make a morning decent, if you ask me.
I am raising a maniac. He enjoys moving the kitchen chairs around so he can sit on other, non-momma approved objects….
Also, he now love to shush me. He puts one hand on my mouth and he other like this just goes, “Shhhhhhhhhhh mom.” THE SASS IS REAL.
This is what happens when your dad knows you – he runs in to grab the take out, runs out with a drink for you, and then runs back in to wait for the food.
And this is how maniacs sleep, apparently. I walked in the other morning to check on him and just saw this. How does someone actually sleep like this?!
I couldn’t tell you the last time I actually went to a Dunkin, but I grabbed a Dunkaccino while Alex was in a car parts store next door, and I was swiftly reminded that it’s okay, but not great. Why does expensive coffee have to take so much better? (PS I didn’t even bother with hot coffee or wasting money and latte that costs the same as one at Starbucks since I know I’m just not into it anymore..)
Both boys are obsessed with the bowl from the Kitchenaide and let’s just say that Ryan is NOT pleased that he has to share it with his little brother.
Last night we went with my MIL to Harold’s, a ridiculous Jewish deli that we used to go to a lot when I was preggo with Ryan. They have a pickle bar, if that explains anything. It’s such a crazy place since the food is purposely gigantic – the matzo ball soup is seriously just one matzo ball the size of your head. This sandwich fed all of us with a lot of leftovers.
Okay friends – I’m off! If you need me, I’ll be crying into Owen’s memory box because OMG his birthday is tomorrow and OMGGGGGG I am just not emotionally ready for that crap. Also, we’re supposed to get another foot and a half of snow over the next 2 days and that’s just not okay. At least I have the two cutest nuggets I know.
