Hello, friends! Long time no talk! I had a post scheduled for yesterday, but after I messed up the date (oops) it never went live – but that’s fine with me. Alex was off Saturday-Monday so we enjoyed our 3 day weekend as a little family very much. I only opened my computer once to order some clothes from the Carter’s sale, and it as beautiful.
I don’t have a ton of pictures from the weekend because to be honest, most of the time was spent in the moment enjoying my guys and I’m very okay with that. But here’s a little recap and delayed Best of the Weekend using what I do have!
A lot of our weekend revolved around Alex working on his truck – he ordered a part for it, and halfway through putting it on realized they didn’t send the one he chose, so it was going to be a much bigger project than anticipated. So most of Saturday was him working on his truck and running out to get tools/parts/etc. Since Saturday was so cool and nice in the morning, Ryan and I joined him outside and played in the yard. He actually found a little leaf pile and had a BALL but I got no pictures..
We inspected the dying basil plant..
And checked out the front door. Then we went out for lunch and some truck stuff.
This notice was hanging the the bathroom of one of the stores we went to and made me giggle.
Sunday we went to a pool party at Alex’s aunt’s house. His cousin brought her 2 year old and Ryan had so much running around with him and playing with the insane amount of toys that were there. He also took his first dip in a pool and totally dug it! Neither of us have a single picture from the day because we genuinely were just enjoying hanging out with family and watching the little dude be absolutely insane.
Monday morning Alex and I were both pretty shot. We stayed up till maybe 11 (WOW party animals) after staying at the party until 9. Ryan didn’t want to leave! Anyway, it was a slow morning in the Wieboldt household, and may have included this sight while Alex and I tried to wake up and get the energy to start the day..
But don’t worry – Ryan’s own exhaustion caught up to him later in the day when I was introducing him to the movie Mulan after his lunch. I went to take a picture only to realize he kept dozing off! He took a 2 hour nap after this, which is unheard of.
Alex’s sweetest cousin has a 2 year old who is obsessed with this Mopi ride-on. For his birthday, she bought one for Ryan and we broke it out at home Monday – he is totally obsessed. He’s still figuring out the whole getting on it part, but he loves to sit next to it, poke it, and laugh at it. Hey, whatever works.
Monday night was homemade meatballs and sauce. Obviously, Ryan thought it was better suited in his hair. Thanks, kid.
So that was our weekend in a nutshell! How was your weekend? Do anything fun? Let me know in the comments!
