Have you ever looked at a journey that lays before you and thought, How on EARTH am I ever going to manage that?
That’s how I felt when I found out I was pregnant with my first son.
Hi! I’m Morgan – I’m a 26-year-old mom to two little boys – Ryan is 3 and Owen is 1. We live in New Jersey with my husband Alex, our yellow lab mutt, Cooper, and an overweight cat, Molly.
When I got pregnant with Ryan, I was kind of blown away – I was a newlywed, fresh out of college and ready to start my career. I hadn’t held a baby since I was five when my cousin was born, and I had never even changed a diaper. I was unprepared and frankly, terrified. All I could think was, how would I ever manage being a mom? I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.
Quickly, Alex and I decided that becoming a SAHM was what made the most sense for us. I was working a job that I didn’t really love and wasn’t making enough money to justify child care. It was the best decision I’ve made yet, and I genuinely love learning about being a mom and hanging out with two crazy little guys all day.
I created Morgan Manages Mommyhood as an outlet for all of the confusion I felt as a new mom. I’ve always loved writing and sharing with others – I have a degree in Journalism and PR and as a kid I always had a notebook, scribbling little ideas. I soon learned that I had a great source to break down the image of the ‘perfect’ mom and help others learn that the mom they are is perfect, no matter what they are told.
At Morgan Manages Mommyhood, I strive to share ways to make being a mom simple and being a kid magical. You’ll find fun kid food that doesn’t take a ton of time, supplies, or ingredients and little hacks that make parenting easier. I love sharing realistic takes on things (from how to conquer Disney with littles to potty training without having a mental breakdown) and honest, relatable parenting tips, tricks, and advice. My biggest goal as a mom is to create simple, memorable moments for my kids so that as adults they look back fondly on their childhood without going crazy in the process.

Your family is adorable! I just had my first baby (also a little boy!) last Friday, and I’m just like you! I never changed a diaper, burped a baby, etc… It’s definitely quite a change, but being a mom so far is the BEST THING EVER.
