Looking for an easy weeknight dinner? These simple 4-ingredent pepperoni pizza rolls are bound to please even your pickiest eaters!
Is there any other sure fire win in every mom’s dinner arsenal than pizza? It’s a classic kid favorite and for a good reason – the combination of bread, tomato sauce, and cheese is irresistible to even the pickiest eater, no matter the form.
Now that the temperatures are dropping – this week promises night time temperatures of the low 40’s! – I am happily turning my oven back on and cranking up the heat. From now until March I’ll find myself regularly baking and cooking to warm up the house and our bellies. After months of either grill cooking or not cooking at all, I’m more than happy to face the sink full of dishes in the name of a hot meal.
One of my favorite things to bake early in the morning is cinnamon rolls – if you remember, Thanksgiving morning isn’t Thanksgiving morning without a fresh pan of them while watching the parade. It’s what inspired me to make a fun dinner-time twist on a savory favorite.

These 4-Ingredient Pepperoni Pizza Rolls couldn’t be easier; I mean, they literally only have 4 ingredients. Using store bought pizza dough, (you could easily use homemade, but I’m kind of lazy, so there’s that.) cheese, sauce and whatever fillings you prefer, you can have dinner in 30 minutes or less with little effort.
Have your kiddos pick our their favorite toppings – you don’t have to stick to pepperoni! – and layer it on before rolling the dough up, slicing into rolls and baking until gooey and golden.
4-Ingredient Pepperoni Pizza Rolls
1 pound of pizza dough
Pepperoni (I used an entire 6oz package)
Sauce (see below)
Preheat Oven to 350. Follow instructions for pizza dough – usually allowing it to proof at room temp until doubled in size – and then roll into a large rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.
Spread with about 1/2 cup of sauce, leaving one long edge free of sauce, about 1 inch from the edge. I make my own sauce using 1 large can of crushed tomatoes, 1 head of garlic minced (we really dig garlic here, ha!) and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Heat the garlic in the oil until fragrant before adding in your tomatoes. Cook down for about 30 minutes on a low simmer. If desired, pour into a blender to make a smooth sauce.
Top with shredded cheese and toppings – keep in mind not to overload it!
Wet your sauce free edge before carefully rolling up as tightly as possible. Cut into rolls about 2 – 3 inches thick and place into a greased pan before baking 25-30 minutes until golden. Allow to cool about 5 minutes before serving with shredded parmesan and more sauce.
I hope your family enjoys these simple 4-ingredient pizza rolls as much as I did! Let me know if you try them out!
