Thirty. Seven. Weeks. HOW?! As of today, I am term – technically, early term for the next 2 weeks, but still term – there is nothing scary about having a baby at 37 weeks, everything is developed and at this point they’re just chunkin’ up in there. If I have this baby on the same day (in terms of distance from due date) as I did Ryan, I’ll have this baby in 12 days- but to be honest, that seems unlikely. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t hoping this is my last bumpdate – but either way, let’s get to it!
Cravings/Aversions: nothing, really, which is nice. I’ve been craving iced coffee, I guess, but I think that’s more related to the gorgeous weather lately.
New Things: Not much, other than contractions and lots of them. At my appointment on Thursday, I was a “loose 1 centimeter”. While that doesn’t really mean much, it’s definitely a good sign if at 36 weeks I’m dilating. It’s not that I want him out right this second because I’m over it like it was with Ryan, it’s more like, I can’t wait to see you! I’m not good at waiting on things..
Preparation: Hospital bag – packed. Baby stuff – washed. Blog posts – mostly written. I’ve stocked up on the things we need and made Ryan some food for the freezer. You’re welcome to come at anytime, unnamed baby.
In case you were wondering, this is the last bump picture I have from Ryan at 37 weeks.
