34 Weeks.

6 weeks to go! If I’m not mistaken, by this time in my pregnancy with Ryan I was on an early maternity leave and waddling around. This time, I’m just waddling – there is no maternity leave from toddler mom. It’s kind of crazy for me to think that I’m only 3 weeks away from full term – how?! Considering I went into labor with Ryan around 38.5 weeks, in my mind I have about a month to go – and that is CRAZY. Let’s see what else is going on at 34 weeks pregnant!

34 Weeks

Cravings: Another reason pregnancy is weird – I’ve been craving tuna? I am NOT a tuna person except for the one time a year, maybe, that I make it and remember I’m not a fan. I made some last week and oh man, so good. Can’t wait to have it again, good. Pregnancy is weird, guys.

Aversions: As I write this, all of the food for the most part. I’ve had some horrendous heartburn that past week or so, and oh man. No fun. So I’ve been drinking a lot of milk and avoiding a lot of the good things.

Weight: Not sure? I go to the doctor on Thursday so we shall see!

New Things: Horrible, terrible, no good, very bad heartburn. So bad. I just cannot. I remember having heartburn with Ryan, but nothing like this. I’ve had it for the majority of this pregnancy, but in the past few weeks it’s gotten SO bad. I seriously took one taste of tzatziki I was making for dinner today and immediately felt it. I’ve been drinking a LOT of milk.
Also, this baby kicks SO. HARD. While I mentioned that both Ryan and this baby have been super active pregnancies, this is nothing like Ryan. He seriously kicks me so hard I gasp and have to catch my breath – it hurts! And he’ll push on my side so hard that you literally see a cone shaped something. I’ve never been grossed out by baby kicks (like I thought I would be) but these are gross. And they hurt. At my last appointment, he was transverse and I’m pretty sure he  still is because I’ll feel him on both my left and right side at the same time. I remember Ryan taking his sweet time to flip so I’m not worried.

Preparation: Working on my “registry”? Kind of. A lot of blog work to try and prepare the blog for some the babe – if you’re interested, keep your eyes out for a post on how I’m preparing the blog for baby.

Just so you know, they’ve shown that while milk seems calming initially, it causes higher acid production after. That may be part of the problem! I take pepcid every day (and have since 28 weeks) and Maalox is it’s terrible. But the pepcid worked wonders!

Oh I feel for you! I had horrible heartburn and acid reflux with my 4th pregnancy and it was really hard to deal with. Have you tried eating some acidic foods- some theories show that this helps. I’ve been eating 1 to 2 grapefruit a day this time and so far it’s really helping!

You are literally all belly based on the pic! YOU LOOK AMAZING!
The only thing I seem to want no part of is chicken at this point in my pregnancy. Something about chicken just makes me nauseated and turned off, lol.

You look great and that’s so awesome that you are almost near the end of your pregnancy!! Doesn’t it fly by the second time around. I hate that we don’t ever get a break this time though!!! Taking care of a toddler and being pregnant is the hardest job ever..

I’m feeling you on the tuna craving!!! I had some last week.

I hate having heartburn, it’s no fun. Hopefully it goes away soon. You look great, less than six more weeks to go 🙂 Have a lovely day <3
