Happy Christmas eve eve eve! Okay, I went a little far, but if you’re a procrastinator, it probably feels like Christmas is tomorrow. I come from a long line of procrastinators and last minute Larry’s (<– is that a thing? Or did I just make it up?) so being unprepared for most every gift giving occasion is kind of in my blood.
So what do you do when you’re bound to forget someone on your list? You compile a list of no-fail Last Minute Christmas Gifts that will help you out of the stickiest of situations! And lucky you, today I’m sharing all of my deepest darkest tips with you all today!
My whole life, I’ve been kind of anti-giftcards because where’s the originality? As I get older, I appreciate them more – uhm, money to somewhere I dig to use as I please? Yes. Yes, please. Oh, and as a momma who always seems to run out of time? I’m extra thankful for them. I obviously have a few faves, but I definitely suggest pairing it with something tangible to open then and there –
Target. YOU GUYS you can never go wrong with a Target gift card. Clothes? House stuff? Body stuff? Food? Essentials? Let the recipient choose.
Spa Finder. My MIL has done this for me twice and I think it’s genius – you’re not tying them to a specific spa or service, but still giving the go ahead to get some pampering. Massage, anyone?
Grocery Store. This might seem lame, but pair it with something from the bakery and their favorite candy and I’d call it a home run.
Starbucks. (or their personal fave) If your recipient is a coffee nut, chances are they would love a giftcard to their favorite spot – paired with a bag of coffee or a mug and it’s the perfect gift.
Amazon Prime. Weird? Nope. There are few better things that I have found in the past year or two better than Amazon Prime. Virtually anything I could ever need at my door in 2 days or less. A ton of free ebooks and movies and TV shows. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.
HelloFresh. I recently had the chance to try out HelloFresh and omg you bet I’ll be doing it again. This is the ULTIMATE gift for the busy person in your life. It’s a week of no meal planning, trying new things, and not having to worry.
StitchFix. I almost wrote this is the perfect gift for any woman in your life, but they also have StitchFix for men now, so that’s a lie. If you know someone who hates shopping but likes looking nice, how about a gift card to StitchFix, the clothing service that uses a personalized style profile and a stylist to hand pick 5 pieces of clothing for you, ships them to your house, and lets you shop from home,
Beer and bacon. My dad did this a few years ago for the guys that work for him and I kind of think it’s genius – A pack of quality bacon and a 6 pack of his favorite beer is the perfect simple gift.
Pictures. I’m a huge fan of TargetPhoto because I can order photos online off my phone or where ever you have them stored and pick them up in store in about an hour. Grab a frame while you’re picking them up and you’re good to go.
My last tip is to think of something they like and then just build upon that – it can make a quick trip to the store look like you took time and energy into the gift. Here are some examples to get your mind rolling!
Coffee freak? French press, bag of coffee, milk frother.
Baker? Cookie sheet, baking utensils, baking cookbook. (Here’s a fun, simple DIY Baking Gift that would make a perfect last minute gift)
Into movies? Popcorn, DVD, snacks.
Homebody? Candle, blanket, a good book.
Need a pampering? Slippers, eye mask, various spa goodies.
Love a good drink? Glasses, mixers, and a bottle of something tasty.
See? Easy peasy.
Here’s hoping you get your shopping done asap and for anyone you might have forgotten – I hope this helped you out a bit!
