FRIENDS. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve. Can you believe it? To be totally honest, I feel like this month flew by. I mean, December always flies by, but between a revolving door of ick this month, weird weather, and just generally learning how to handle 2 kiddos (I swear, with every change/growth spurt it’s like learning all over again.) it felt like a couple of days rather than a couple of weeks.
But alas, the day after tomorrow is CHRISTMAS and OMG I CAN’T WAIT. While Ryan still doesn’t get Santa, (he just goes, “HO HO!” every time he sees him and it kills me) he sure as anything will get presents and it’s going to be SO FUN. While we didn’t go overboard by any means – he’s only 2.5 – I just can’t wait to spoil him a bit and watch our families spoil him. Christmas with kids, you guys – the #1 reason to have ’em. I kid, I kid – mostly.
Anyway that being said – it’s time to talk favorites! I haven’t done much blog perusing this week, so for another week, we’re talking random faves, if you don’t mind. Coming soon: my 2017 goals, my semi-plan for being more productive next year, and what you can expect in this little space!
Yesterday I headed to my dad’s and we visited my Grandma, but had to make a stop at Home Depot for some things. I couldn’t resist a photo opp with this little ham because omg, ladies, how much trouble am I in with that half smile?!?!?!? Ugh.
And then there’s this maniac. I gave him a haircut and every time I do I regret it because he looks so freaking big.
I’ve been going through pictures a lot lately for gifts and I found this one hidden away. I think my favorite part about living in a digital world is alll of the pictures. I want to start printing more, but it’s very fun to ‘find’ ‘lost’ photos you don’t remember seeing. Seriously, my brother looking at Ryan (SUCH A NUGGET) makes my heart happy.
Saturday we woke up to snow that is sticking around so my snow boots have been hanging out. Ryan keeps putting them on and walking around and it kills me.
I’ve been a little busy baker these past couple of days, making dough, mostly to bake everything for the holidays. Ryan helped me make the chocolate chip cookies and he was happy as a clam to help taste test.
This year I’m doing sugar, chocolate chip, peanut butter and Italian wedding cookies – what’s on your baking list?
Ryan’s also been getting more and more into reading lately – the other day I walked into the room so he was just sitting there reading to himself. My heart was happy.
Okay, my friends, I’m off – if you celebrate, I hope you have an AMAZING Christmas, and I’ll see you all back here on Monday! Also, the Share the Wealth Sunday party will not be happening tomorrow – we’re all taking a break for the holiday!
