Welcome to Friday, friends! How horrible is the week after a vacation? Thankfully, we seem to be back into a routine more or less – Ryan is back to eating normal food, I’m back to going to bed way too late, and Owen is back to waking up at the butt-crack of dawn. Ryan is still waking up once a night which is driving me a little crazy, but hopefully, it starts to go back to normal. Oh, and I can see Owen’s 2 little bottom teeth right below the surface! Insert tears over losing my little gummy baby (and to the fact that I now have a cranky teething baby on my hands..)
Okay, enough complaining – Fridays are for fun! More specifically, Fridays are for FAVORITES! So let’s get to it, yes?
Ryan stepping up. My dad and I took Ryan to a huge playground that’s been around since I was a kid near his house. As you might know, Ryan’s obsessed with all things car, so this tire and wood car was his jam. Later in our visit 4 older boys were on it and Ryan just sat right next to them and played along. Proud momma over here, especially since Ryan usually just walks away from other kids.
This trouble maker! Oh my goodness, you guys. This kid is going to be t.r.o.u.b.l.e! He rolled from the total opposite side of the kitchen to his jumper to try and grab his dog thing and I just sat back and watched. He is determined to the MAX.
Fall candles! Although as we all know I’ve been getting allll into the pumpkin spice for months, now that it’s getting chilly I feel like I’ve gotten the okay to burn seasonal candles. I picked up this little one from Target and I’m already thinking about getting the bigger size!
COOKIES. Panera chocolate chip cookies are my idea of the perfect cookie. Crunchy on the edges, gooey in the middle. It was my first job and I ate way too many and now I’m trying to recreate them. I’m determined and I’m pretty close!! (though this batch has 3 different sizes of chips, which is almost better.)
This week on Morgan Manages Mommyhood..
Favorite OMG: Reeses Pie Cookies. As a life long Reeses lover, I look at this and wonder where the heck it has been my whole life. How genius is this!?!?
Favorite Halloween Treat: Haunted Pumpkin Patch Popcorn Crunch. How adorable is this? The only thing cuter than the actual popcorn is the precious little container it’s in!
Favorite Halloween: DIY Halloween Countdown Chalkboard Pumpkin. This is so cute, original and SIMPLE! I’m contemplating whether it’s too late to make myself one!
Favorite Kids: 21 Sensory Bottles for Babies and Toddlers. I made a colorful rice one for Ryan when he was a baby but he didn’t care about it at all. Funny enough, Owen LOVES it, so I’m thinking a few more are in order!
