Welcome to 2017! Here’s to an awesome new year. Are you doing anything to ensure a great 2017? If you’re interested in my goals for the year, you can head over to this post!
Did you do anything exciting to ring in the new year? You’ll see in a bit, but the Weiboldt’s kept it simple until Owen decided that a party was vital. Enough chatting, though – let’s get to the weekend highlights!
Saturday we went to our fave Mexican restaurant where I promptly forgot to take pictures of our meals (except, now that I think of it I might have remembered and just put it up on IG stories.) This kid was happy as a clam with his crayons and later, a balloon.
I made sure the boys were dressed for the NYE (non existent) festivities when I found this adorbs sweater packed away from when Ryan was a baby. It’s beyond cute and he looks like such a little old man with it on, in the best way possible.
Brotherly love. <3333333
For dinner, we made spaghetti and meatballs and it was beyond good. Sometimes it’s genuinely the perfect meal.
Saturday night was a rough one – I fully intended to just go to bed early and/or fall asleep on the couch, but Owen had different plans. He was up a few times which is relatively normal, but then at midnight wouldn’t go back to sleep. I think it was some kind of belly issue since he pooed and finally fell asleep at 3 am but man, it was a long night. And I didn’t even get a party out of it!
That being said, Sunday was a slow morning. I was planning on going to the store and making lunch in the morning but the energy just wasn’t there. We took a Panera trip and it did the job.
We came home and Owen napped (Ryan was a no go – halp meee!) so I did some planning – here’s to a more organized 2017!
My MIL came up to go to dinner and we tried a new Mediterranean place and it was super amazing. Sorry for no pictures of the hummus, but I was busy stuffing my face.
And that’s it – a very low key weekend, but good! It was nice to do nothing with my little fam after a few weekends of being sick and holiday stress. So tell me – what fun did you have this weekend?!
